The idea is to provide what I hope to be a one stop page for the many aspects of real estate within the province.
Today I'll begin with the basics.
First of all there is the great favourite of most people looking for houses, condominiums, building lots and so on, the Residential Multiple Listing Service or MLS. Follow the links for the Canadian version.
Next there is the Commercial Multiple Listing Service or ICX. If you're looking for an investment property, a business for sale, or simply a site on which to building a commercial building, this is a great place to start. Again, these links are for the Canadian site.
Most real estate in the province of British Columbia is addressed within a modified Torrens land title system. A title search can be done online for a fee at BC Online. Searches of registered charges on title, such as mortgages, leases, easements and statutory rights-of-way can also be searched.
